Be productive. The more productive you are, the better. No kidding. That’s business 101. Never been told to get something out of the door, no matter what ? That’s right, quality doesn’t stand a chance against productivity. That’s sad. But we have to deal with it. How did we get there ? No idea. All I know is that it started with a pretty good idea : Focus on what you do best, forget about the rest. I do realize that this sentence sums up pretty badly over 200 years of economics, but hopefully, you get the point.

While the concept of Frameworks isn’t recent, the buzz surrounding frameworks has grown to a point where it’s nearly impossible to read news not mentioning a brand new XXX framework which will revolutionize the way we build web applications/sites.

Based on some inspired & most welcomed feedback, I've added some vertical rythm to the grid. I'm amazed by how much better it looks now.

I got rid of old and useless posts, wiped-off comments (sorry guys) and refreshed the design. It’s far from perfect, and there’s not enough content for my liking, but overall, I’m pretty happy of how it turned out.

Since I won't launch the "new" F.A.M tonite, I might as well show you the logo I came up with. I'm not set on the stars, I might remove them later.

The closer I get to re-launch this blog with a homegrown Blog engine, the more I realize how much work it takes to build something rock-solid. This mini-CMS doesn't have hundreds of features, just a few, but I'd like them to be bullet-proof.

It’s been a long long time since I last posted something on this blog site.
During these months, I can’t say I’ve been lazy, or unproductive. I’ve worked long hours at work, and I have started many projects, but yes, I haven’t written much (nothing at all to be honest). The problem lies in the fact that I start many things and never finish them. It’s something I can’t help. Something innate. Just like curiosity. By curiosity, I mean intellectual curiosity, I’m not a big fan of gossip magazines.. anyways.

I've been using Performancing Metrics (PM) and Google Analytics (GA) stats services for respectively two months and two weeks, and I guess it's a fair amount of time to draw some conclusions on those products.

If defining an Objective and Strategy is not an essential step to creating a new theme, it is crucial when it comes to designing a site. Without a clear objective and strategy, you'll get lost on your way to potential success.
Greg at A list Apart wrote a great article on the importance of a clear and well defined Objective and Strategy . It's a must read, and this post will follow Greg's guidelines.

If there's one thing I'm not especially a big fan of when designing a website, is to find a unique style, or at least the most appropriate one for the main navigation list. Many times I've found myself using the same old and boring navigation scheme.

I heard that some people were asking invites for Windows Live Mail and I thought that this needed a little bit of clarification.

Since the first time I've used it, Firefox has been my web browser of choice. Pretty fast, many great extensions and so on. I've installed it on every computer I had a hand on, and until this morning would have kept doing it. But now I'm not so sure. Let me explain.

Today, I received an invite to join the Windows Live Mail Beta program. I've been using Gmail for over a year now, and even though I like it a lot, there's many things that could be improved. Windows Mail here's your try.
